There's a counterintuitive aspect to how many of us approach the end of the year.
Planning and goal-setting is often about more, more, more. Add more goals to your plate. Put more plans in place.
We’re all already stressed, right? We haven’t gotten through the bulk of the ‘17 to-do list yet and we’re adding item after item to the ‘18 to-do list.
Doesn’t make sense to me.
What if, instead of striving into a new year, you thrived into it?
Instead of adding more and more, what if you could celebrate what you already have?
What if you could take stock of the current situation and build from there?
So I’ve designed a free product called Thriving over Striving: The A-Z of Self Leadership for 2018.
For who? You?
Thriving over Striving works for people who want to be impactful and thriving leaders. For those who want to reach meaningful goals (not necessarily more goals) and reduce their stress at the same time.
Thriving over Striving is a 5-week guided experience starting on January 3, 2018.
The program is designed around an A-Z concept of leading self. Once a week starting in January (every Wednesday) you will receive an email reminding you to access your Thrive Portal. The Portal will house narration videos that explains the ‘letter’ concepts and provide a coaching question to move you forward.
The videos will be uploaded in batches of 5 based on a theme and accumulate over the month of January to 26 videos. There are also 5 worksheets you can access to articulate your answers to the coaching questions.
Here’s how it will roll out:
You sign up in December or January.
The program will only run in January.

Ah, so you want an example of the letter concept?
B is for Boundaries
I’m currently thinking the “B” module will be about boundaries. That’s a tremendously important concept professionally, but we don’t address it as much as we should. A huge percentage of life’s everyday stress and anxiety comes from having a lack of boundaries. Boundaries are personal laws that guide how you want to behave in the world and how you want to be treated. Your boundaries act like an invisible barrier that surrounds you, marking your personal space. The outside world doesn’t know they’re there unless you communicate your boundaries. But if you’re like most people, you don’t actively set your personal boundaries. This leads you to do things you regret sometimes. You may feel frustrated and infuriated by the way some people treat you.
If you want to lead and live better, you need boundaries that are perfectly, undeniably clear to you. Because when they are clear to you, then you can communicate them to others. What boundary do you most need to strengthen?
That would be the focus of the “B” module.
